Kenya is set to host a major agricultural and processing expo entitled the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition which seeks to boost local enterprises' production capacity, will be held at the Sarit Centre for three days.

Kenya is set to host a major agricultural and processing expo entitled the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition which seeks to boost local enterprises’ production capacity, will be held at the Sarit Centre for three days. The expo will run from 27th October to 29th.

The AgroFoodpack Exhibition is co-organized by the Kenya National Chambers of Commerce & Industry – Kajiado chapter, MXM Exhibitors – a Dubai-based event firm, and will cover segments of Agro, Dairy and Poultry, Grains and Storage, Food and Flavors, Biscuits, Cakes, Packaging and processing Machines, Plastics among others.

According to MXM Expo organizer, Mudasir Mohammed,  the expo will boost and attract foreign direct investments to the country. The expo aims to provide a platform for technology transfer, boosting inter-trade and enhancing the opening of the gateway between Kenya and other 20 countries from Europe and Asian nations.

This expo targets entrepreneurs in the Agricultural & manufacturing sectors. It aims to tap into the Kenya government’s Big Four Agenda by providing trade and technological exchange opportunities between Kenya and the world.

These sectors – Agricultural and Manufacturing are part of the Big Four Agenda Centre and the expo will help to connect local firms to new technology to drive growth within these two sectors, doing it shall spur their growth hence doubling their production capacity and creating better jobs for Kenyans.

An emphasis by the CEO of Kenya National Chambers of Commerce & Industry-Kajiado chapter Mr. Japheth Ogutu, stressed how ideal the expo is as a platform for Kajiado county traders and traders across the country, to showcase the opportunities available for investors and exhibitors attending the expo as it aligns with the government’s mission to boost the manufacturing sector at time when the government is setting up industrial parks aimed at spurring job creation.

MXM Expo organizer, Mohammed further urged Kenyan exhibitors to ensure that they create long-lasting partnerships with foreign counterparts. Adding that he is optimistic that local exhibitors will end up signing Memorandum Of Understanding ( MOUs), which will benefit both players.

The expo will create a pathway for technology innovators, producers, suppliers, and buyers to exploit up-and-coming opportunities in one of the world’s most attractive business spots. It will delve deeper into a showcase of transformations in the agriculture sector making it less dependent on manual processes, a change hoped to boost export volumes.

Kenya is a fast-growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa with a huge industrial boom in several sectors especially within agriculture and manufacturing and this expo will be of great impact to traders as they have been called upon to mark their calendars and turn up in large numbers to the expo.

Some of the major participants at the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition are Foshan Biology, SNK Benterkia, Asaal Shirin, Janst Healthcare, Prestige Packing Industry, Savinda Graphics & Package

An estimated 1,500 exhibitors from over six countries will participate in the event. It will also shed light on new frontlines for world-shattering technologies, solutions, and innovations. The exhibitors are drawn from Algeria, China, Egypt, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.
