Liquid Intelligent Technologies Receives Two Awards at GovTech 2023

Liquid Intelligent Technologies has received two prestigious awards at GovTech 2023 – the Africa Award and Digital Partnerships.

These awards acknowledge the significant impact of Liquid Intelligent Technologies (www.Liquid.Tech) in improving the lives of Africans through the use of ICT. The second award recognizes the company’s YES4YOUTH IT Training program.

“We are honored to be recognized for our efforts in both of these areas. Liquid has made remarkable progress in making high-speed connectivity accessible throughout the continent with our 110,000 km fiber network. Additionally, we are deeply committed to promoting the growth and education of young individuals in South Africa. Through our partnership with YES4YOUTH, we offer various learning and skills programs that enhance knowledge and skills in the ICT sector, providing opportunities for unemployed youth in our communities,” says Deon Geyser, CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies South Africa.

Winning in both categories reaffirms the organization’s continuous investment in realizing its vision of a digitally connected future that includes all Africans.

“This recognition also emphasizes the importance of Public-Private Partnerships, and we are grateful for the opportunity to play a vital role in digitally transforming South Africa through our ongoing partnership with SITA,” Geyser added.

Liquid recently announced the expansion of its fiber network, connecting Kenya to Ethiopia and Zambia to Malawi, thereby providing carrier-grade connectivity to these countries.

The future prosperity of Africa relies on fast and reliable connectivity, and everyone at Liquid is dedicated to making digital inclusion a reality across South Africa and the rest of the continent.

Liquid aims to drive African growth through its intelligent fiber backbone, offering cost-effective, regional internet connectivity that facilitates digital transformation.
