Lovers of Indian movies are set for more entertainment after Zee World, the world’s first Bollywood English-dubbed channel in Africa, unveiled its line-up of programs for 2018 in Nairobi on Thursday.

ZEE general entertainment channels, which have a good following in Kenya, showcased series, shows and movies planned for Bollywood enthusiasts across its major channels such as Zee World, Zee Bollymovies, Zee Bollynova, Zee TV and Zee Cinema.

This year’s programs feature the second season of Twist of Fate, a TV drama continuing the cliffhanger that left viewers guessing as to what happened to the fun-loving rock star Abhi and the ever-determined, strong-willed Pragya; with viewers looking to find out whether the two will finally get the love they deserve or whether Abhi’s evil sister Aliya will eventually get what she’s always wanted- removing Pragya for good.

2018 also sees the return of another popular series, King of Hearts (season 2), as well as four others; Bride with Benefits, Begusarai, Amma and Iron Lady.

A number of blockbuster movies such as the 2017 crime thriller MOM, starring the Bollywood legend Sridevi, as well as other productions featuring A-list actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchana, among others, are expected to premiere on Zee Bollymovies later this year.

Speaking at the content upfront, Harish Goyal, Chief Executive of ZEE Africa, said: “We are really excited about the wide acceptance and appreciation of our programs here in Kenya and we are constantly improving our content to keep our viewers happy. This year, we would like to assure our viewers of world-class entertainment in line with Zee entertainment’s global offering.”

To cater to a variety of interests, Zee BollyNova offers a wide range of entertainment that includes food shows, featuring celebrity chefs such as Sanjeev Kapoor and Ripu Raman Handa. Viewers should also stand by for exciting Reality Shows such as Look love what you made me do and Fear Files which will air soon, as they look towards enjoying the series Saloni, Destiny and The Vow in May 2018.

With a reach spanning over 173 countries and access to more than 1.3 billion viewers globally, Zee is driving entertainment to the shores of Africa, offering 12 channels across the continent, of which 10 are available in Kenya.  Zee World airs on DStv, GOtv, Kwese and Zuku.
