Kenya Records 602 New COVID-19 Cases as 8 More Die

Kenya has recorded 602 new COVID-19 cases, among them 407 cases and 195 females.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases now push the country’s positivity rate in the country to 10.7 percent from 10.4 percent recorded yesterday.

The country’s total caseload now stands at 43,143.

The CS also announced that 8 more people had succumbed to the virus raising fatalities to 805. 

At the same time, 80 more people were also discharged, among them 51 patients from the Home-Based Care and 29 from various hospitals.

This now pushes the number of recoveries to 31,508.
