Kenya reports 225 COVID-19 recoveries as 6 more die

The number of COVID-19 patients who have recovered in Kenya now stands at 225 in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 18,895. 

Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman says 188 of the recoveries are from the home-based care program, while 37 are discharges from various health facilities.

Aman spoke when he announced the death of 6 more patients, raising the total COVID-19 related fatalities to 554.  

At the same time, the CAS announced 193 new COVID-19 cases from 3,381 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

This now brings the total number of cases to 32,557.

Nairobi has recorded the highest number with 78 cases followed by Embu with 24 cases, Kiambu 18 Nyeri 13 and Mombasa 10 cases. 

3 of the new cases were foreigners.
