Martha Koome recommended for Chief Justice position by JSC

The Judicial Service Commission has nominated Martha Koome as the first woman Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya.

The new CJ has 33 years of experience in legal practice with years of experience in public service as a defender of human rights.

She has earned international accolades for tremendous contribution to jurisprudence in the expansion of the rule of law and defence of the vulnerable.
