Mike Sonko and Mohammed Badi end cold wars, blames politics for drift

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Nairobi Metropolitan Services boss Mohammed Badi have ended their cold wars that saw the county suffer leadership wrangles.

The two leaders who attended a function organised at the KICC, put buried the hatchet after advice from the Head of State, Uhuru Kenyatta. The president urged both parties to work in unison to derive development issues.

Kenyatta was speaking at the annual Youth International Day where the two graced the event.

The Nairobi governor blamed malicious information from politicians that wedged war between the parties.

“I apologise for all the bad things I have said against Badi…Going forward we will work together,” said Sonko.

Badi said that they we will work together to ensure service delivery to the city dwellers.

“We will work together to build roads, issue title deeds and deliver other services. We only want to inform you that we will work together,” said Badi.
