UNEP Marks 50 years with spotlight on climate action

United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) Leaders are convening at Nairobi for the United Nations Environment Assembly UNEA-5.2 which started on 28th February till 2nd march 2022.

The overall theme of the event for UNEA-5 is, “Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.” discussing ideas for a low-carbon recovery.

Hosted by UNEP, the United Nations Environment Assembly is engaging 193 member states of the UN, businesses, civil society and other stakeholders to agree on policies that will assist curb the environmental challenges faced by the world.

UNEA-5 aims at creating momentum for governments to build on multilateral environmental efforts to protecting and restoring natural world as it’s the foundation of our economies and societies.
