Yellow Card Co-Founder and CEO Chris Maurice has been named to Stablecon’s Stablecoins Most Influential 2026 list, joining a distinguished group of global business and financial technology leaders shaping the future of the stablecoin ecosystem.
Maurice’s recognition comes as stablecoins continue to gain prominence in global payments, digital finance and cross-border transactions, with the industry attracting increasing attention from financial institutions, technology companies and policymakers.
Stablecon, a leading global event and media platform focused on the stablecoin ecosystem, annually recognises individuals who are driving innovation and shaping the development of the sector. Its Stablecoins Most Influential list spans six regions and multiple categories, including issuers, builders and policymakers.
The recognition is based on a five-factor framework that assesses influence, impact, innovation, momentum and peer recognition, positioning the list as a key marker of leadership within the rapidly evolving stablecoin industry.
Maurice joins the 2026 cohort alongside prominent global figures including Emilie Choi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Coinbase; Patrick Collison, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stripe; Charles Cascarilla, Co-Founder and CEO of Paxos; and Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of BlackRock.
Through his leadership at Yellow Card, Maurice has emerged as a prominent advocate for stablecoin adoption, particularly across emerging markets. He has delivered keynote addresses at major international conferences attended by heads of state, engaged with ministers and financial regulators, and has been recognised on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023.
His work has also attracted international media attention, with his views and leadership featured by outlets including CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg, Forbes and Business Insider.
“Many years ago, we took a bet on Stablecoins when few people could see what the future of finance would look like,” said Maurice, Co-Founder and CEO of Yellow Card.
“Today, being celebrated among the leaders of this industry tells me that bet is paying off. Conviction is the only currency that matters before the world catches up to you.”
Under Maurice’s leadership, Yellow Card has facilitated more than $7.5 billion in transactions over the past 12 months, while expanding its operations and reach across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and North America.
The company has attracted substantial investment from major investors, including Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and Coinbase Ventures. It has also established strategic partnerships with global payments and technology companies such as Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
Yellow Card’s growing list of industry accolades includes winning the Grand Prix in the Payments category at the 2025 Money20/20 USA Awards. The company was also recently named to the inaugural Fortune Crypto Innovators list for 2026.
The latest recognition further underscores Maurice’s growing influence in the global digital finance industry as Yellow Card continues to focus on building stablecoin infrastructure designed to connect businesses and facilitate financial transactions across international markets.
Maurice remains focused on expanding access to stablecoin-based financial infrastructure and strengthening connections between businesses operating across global markets through Yellow Card’s technology platform.
