The highly anticipated Fourth Man EP by 1005 Songs & More was unveiled during a vibrant listening event at the prestigious Weston Hotel on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Distinguished by the presence of Her Excellency, Mrs. Rachel Ruto, as the chief guest of honor, the debut of The Fourth Man EP was a departure from traditional listening parties.
The event attracted numerous Kenyan luminaries from the entertainment industry, including media personalities Cynthia Nyamai, Kalekye Mumo, Ben Cyco, and Timeless Noel, as well as DJs Kezz, Hobbs Klifftah, and Gee Gee. Artists such as Jabidii and Didi Man also graced the occasion.
The listening session showcased five tracks: “Munoma,” “I Will Wait,” “I Hear a Sound,” “One A Dem,” “Anticipating,” and “League of Your Own.” Gospel lead vocalist Andrew Awili of 1005 Songs & More shared insights and inspiration derived from God, shedding light on the creative process.
Mrs. Rachel Ruto commended the music group for setting new standards in music production and inspiring the youth. She emphasized the profound impact of music on the soul, highlighting its universal language. Additionally, she reaffirmed the Kenyan government’s commitment to supporting Haiti and announced the formation of a prayer group for policemen being deployed to Haiti.
ABOUT 1005 SONGS & MORE: Comprising a dynamic collective of imaginative and devout Kenyan individuals, 1005 Songs & More is driven by the goal of surpassing King Solomon’s record of 1005 songs, as mentioned in 1 Kings 4:32. They invite others to join them in spreading Christ’s message through music.
Their debut album, “Repeat,” was released in December 2023.
