As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape global industries, GOMYCODE Kenya has launched its transformative ‘GOMYCODE for Business’ program. This innovative initiative is poised to empower Kenyan enterprises, providing the essential digital skills needed to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven future.

Announced during the company’s second-anniversary celebrations in Nairobi, this marks a significant evolution for GOMYCODE, expanding its commitment from nurturing individual talent to fortifying entire organizations against the challenges of a rapidly changing digital economy.

Kenya’s journey towards digital transformation is accelerating, yet a critical obstacle persists: a pervasive digital skills gap. Despite recognizing the imperative for innovation, many companies struggle to access or develop the skilled workforce necessary to implement new technologies.

The World Bank’s Kenya Digital Economy Report 2024 reveals that a substantial 70 percent of Kenyan businesses identify digital skills shortages as a primary barrier to adopting modern technological solutions.

For the past two years, GOMYCODE Kenya has been a key player in cultivating digital talent, helping young professionals launch successful careers. Now, celebrating its second year, GOMYCODE has unveiled ‘GOMYCODE for Business’ – a tailored upskilling program designed to guide companies through digital transformation with confidence and agility.

“The digital skills gap is no longer just a concern for job seekers; it’s a critical issue impacting business survival,” emphasized Mellany Msengezi, Country Director at GOMYCODE Kenya.

“Our two years have been dedicated to building a robust tech talent pipeline. Now, we are extending our expertise directly to companies, helping them prepare for the imminent wave of digital disruption.”

Distinguishing itself from traditional corporate training models, ‘GOMYCODE for Business’ embraces a modular, outcomes-focused methodology.

The program offers hands-on, practical training in high-demand areas such as AI literacy, data analytics, cloud technologies, and modern software tools.

It provides flexible learning formats, accommodating in-office, remote, and hybrid teams, ensuring that newly acquired skills are immediately applicable to real-world business challenges. Early pilot programs are already underway across Africa in diverse sectors including finance, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare.

“The demand for skilled talent is undeniable. What’s often missing is structured, tech-centric training that truly adapts to the unique needs of businesses,” noted Yahya Bouhlel, CEO and Founder of GOMYCODE.

Kenya, with its vibrant youth demographic and flourishing tech ecosystem, is a recognized hub for innovation in Africa. However, experts caution that without proactive investment in workforce digital readiness, companies risk losing their competitive edge in the global marketplace.

GOMYCODE is determined to address this challenge, positioning itself not just as a coding school, but as a crucial strategic partner in shaping Kenya’s digital future by seamlessly connecting learning outcomes with business performance. The message is clear: the AI era is here, and Kenyan businesses must embrace it to thrive.
