Iranian military intervention in Sudan

After the Sudanese war erupted on 15 April 2023, Tehran and Khartoum began discussing the restoration of relations in July of the same year, after ties had been severed since 2016, before the two countries officially announced the resumption of diplomatic relations on 9 October 2023.
