Leaders have mourned and sent their condolences to the people of Banisa after the demise of their Member of Parliament Kullow Maalim Hassan. MP Kullow succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a city hospital following a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in Nairobi’s South C.
He is remembered as a devoted leader who sought to operate in the delivery of services with honor which made his leadership a transformative one. Leaders took to social media to laud the leader’s achievements as they consoled Banisa people to take heart despite their and Kenya’s huge loss of a great leader MP Kullow has been.
Former Attorney General Justin Muturi described Kullow as a passionate and committed legislator who was focused on his people’s good and well-being in a tweet that read;
“My sincere condolences go out to the residents of Banisa on the passing of their representative Kulow Maalim Hassan. Kullow Maalim was a passionate and committed legislator who distinguished himself in serving his constituents during my tenure as Speaker of the National Assembly,” he tweeted.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula on Wednesday remarked on the leader’s demise as a huge loss to the people of Banisa and the country at large.
“I would like to pass my sincere condolence and prayers to the family, friends, and relatives of Banisa MP Kullow Maalim Hassan. The people of Banisa and the country at large have lost a great man, father, and leader,” he said.
Further emphasizing that MP Kullow’s legacy and acts of kindness will not be forgotten as he decried the passing of the leader during this vital Ramadhan time.
“Kullow who was serving his second term serving in the Public Accounts, Trade, and Cooperatives committees of the 13th Parliament, was a dedicated and committed leader who served Kenyans diligently, with respect and total humility. May Allah grant him Jannat-ul-Firdaus and may his soul rest in eternal peace,” Wetang’ula said.
Eldas MP Adan Keynan reminisced about MP Kullow as the great friend and colleague he has never had who was inspired to go for the transformation of people’s well-being.
“I share my deepest condolences with the family, friends, and people of Banisa following this unfortunate loss and pray that Allah (SWT) will grant them sabr and comfort during this lowest moment. May Allah grant his soul Jannatul Firdaws. Amiin Amiin,” he said.
