Bolt Food has introduced a new feature called scheduled orders. This feature allows customers to pre-order meals even when restaurants are fully booked, closed, or when couriers are in high demand.

The scheduled orders feature aims to enhance the overall Bolt Food experience by assisting restaurants in optimizing their orders and managing kitchen preparation time, boosting revenue for the restaurants.

It also allows couriers to maximize their earnings by coordinating deliveries throughout the day. Customers benefit from a fixed delivery cost, which is communicated to them at the time of scheduling their delivery.

According to Edgar Kitur, the Country Manager of Bolt Food, the introduction of scheduled orders has resulted in a 20% increase in orders utilizing this feature. This demonstrates its popularity among customers.

Additionally, in response to the growing demand for restaurant deliveries, Bolt Food now offers 24/7 delivery services on weekends.

This ensures that customers have access to more delivery options, especially after midnight. The company has collaborated with over 40 providers on the platform to make this possible.

Bolt Food is committed to expanding its services across Kenya. Recently, it expanded its services to Mombasa City, further solidifying its dedication to providing affordable, safe, and sustainable products and services to its clients.

The company also works with couriers and restaurants to create job opportunities and plans to expand its reach to other cities and towns across Kenya.

Currently, Bolt Food has over 1500 restaurants on its platform and provides earning opportunities to over 4000 couriers in Nairobi and its metropolis.
