TikTok removes over 580,000 videos in Kenya in Q3 2025 enforcement push, according to its latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
The report, covering July to September 2025, details the company’s ongoing efforts to proactively identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, combining advanced automated technologies with human moderation.
During the quarter, more than 580,000 videos were taken down in Kenya for breaching platform rules. Of these, 99.7 percent were removed proactively before being reported by users, while 94.6 percent were taken down within 24 hours of posting.
The report also indicates that approximately 90,000 Live sessions in Kenya were interrupted for violating content guidelines, accounting for about 1 percent of all live streams during the period.
Globally, TikTok removed over 204.5 million videos in Q3 2025, representing approximately 0.7 percent of all content uploaded to the platform. Of this, 99.3 percent was removed before being reported, while 94.8 percent was taken down within 24 hours, marking one of the highest rates of rapid enforcement recorded by the company.
TikTok attributes this efficiency to its continued investment in artificial intelligence moderation systems, with 91 percent of violative content now removed through automated technologies. These systems operate alongside thousands of trust and safety professionals to ensure consistent and timely enforcement.
To protect platform integrity, TikTok removed more than 118 million fake accounts globally during the quarter, alongside over 22 million accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13.
The company maintains that its hybrid moderation approach remains essential in addressing harmful content, including misinformation, hate speech, and other violations, while safeguarding the overall user experience on the platform.
