164 Test Positive for COVID-19 in Kenya

A 6 months old infant and an 81 old are among the 164 people who have tested positive for coronavirus in the country today raising the total number of infections to 37,871.  

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe says of the new cases, 140 are Kenyans while 24 are foreigners. 

He stated that 115 are males while 49 are females.

The CS further announced that 77 patients had recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 24,581 

Out of those who were discharged, 40 were from various hospitals while 37 were from the Home Based Care.  

At the same time, 7 patients died pushing the fatalities to 689.
