Glenmorangie has launched its biggest Africa-focused campaign yet, bringing together three well-known creatives — Kenyan actress Kate Kamau, Nigerian artist and creative executive Darey Art Alade, and South African author Khaya Dlanga — for a trip to the brand’s distillery in the Scottish Highlands.

The idea behind the campaign is simple: character takes time to build. Glenmorangie has spent over 180 years perfecting its whisky in Scotland’s tallest stills, and the campaign draws a parallel between that patient craftsmanship and the way each of the three talents has built their own careers.

Filmed in Tain and around the Highlands, the campaign follows the trio as they tour the distillery, meet the team behind the whisky, and share a dram or two along the way. Each of them came away with their own take on the experience. Kate Kamau talked about how storytelling comes through in the people and the landscape, not just words. Darey Art Alade compared the discipline of whisky-making to his own creative work in music and production. Khaya Dlanga said he was as drawn to the people’s stories as he was to the whisky itself.

Caspar MacRae, President & CEO of The Glenmorangie Company, said the distillery team enjoyed the conversations with all three, and that their curiosity and humor made for a genuinely good visit.

The campaign comes at a time when African creatives are increasingly shaping global conversations around fashion, music, film and design — something Derek Ruediger, Glenmorangie’s International Marketing & Commercial Director, pointed to directly, saying the brand wants African voices at the center of its storytelling.

The campaign runs from July to December 2026 across Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa, including editorial features, digital films, and cultural dinners. It kicks off with launch events in Nairobi (hosted by Kate Kamau), Lagos (Darey Art Alade), and Johannesburg (Khaya Dlanga).
