650 New COVID-19 Cases recorded in Kenya in 24 hours – Mwangangi

Kenya has recorded 650 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country’s total to 28,754, according to Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi.

The CAS said the new positives were drawn from the 6,768 people whose samples were tested within 24 hours. The latest tests bring Kenya’s country’s cumulative total tests to 375,859.

From the new cases, 633 were Kenyans while 17 were foreigners. 391 were male and 259 were female. The youngest was a one-year-old infant while the oldest was 97 years old.

At the same time, some 490 patients from 23 counties have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 15,100.
