Kenya Reports No COVID-19 Related Death in 24hrs

For the first time in several months, Kenya recorded no COVID-19 death within a period of 24 hours on Friday.   

The country’s death toll stands at 567, as of Thursday, representing a fatality rate of 1.69 percent.   

However, a total of 241 more COVID-19 cases were reported, bringing the country’s caseload to 33,630.   

According to Ministry of Health’s Chief Administrative Secretary Dr Rashid Aman, Mombasa, Taita Taveta registered 14 and 10 cases each while Nairobi accounted for most cases at 113.   

Friday saw the country post 66 COVID-19 recoveries including 40 who were under home based care.   

This now raises the total recoveries reported in the country to 19,434.
