The Ruiru Golf Course, a challenging par 73 layout, is gearing up to welcome over 250 top-tier amateur and professional golfers for the highly anticipated 4th edition of the ESS Equipment Golf Tournament this Saturday.
Defending champion Thomas Mwaura, who also serves as the club’s chairman, faces fierce competition from a talented field, including notable players such as Elias Kariuki, Chris Andea, June Waweru, Beatrice Waweru, Kanari Ndungu, and Eng. Derek Okova. The tournament is set to kick off at 6:30 AM, with excitement brewing among both players and fans.
Ahead of this marquee event, Ruiru Sports Club Captain J.K. Muraguri expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are eagerly awaiting the ESS Equipment Golf Tournament because traditionally, it has always been a competitive outing. The number of golfers who have signed up for this tournament is an indication of its huge stature. I can confirm that the course is in good shape, and we are prepared to host the top players in the country in an exciting competition.”
