Tusker Oktobafest continued its countrywide tour with a vibrant stop in Eldoret on Saturday, October 11th, transforming Tamasha Lounge into what organizers called a “beertopia” for the Home of Champions.

Following a successful launch at Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi on October 4th, the festival brought its signature blend of beer culture and entertainment to the Rift Valley town, drawing enthusiastic crowds eager to experience the month-long celebration.

A Premium Beer Experience

The Eldoret edition featured beer cocktail stations and sampling booths where brand ambassadors, dressed in eye-catching African-inspired attire, guided attendees through Kenya Breweries Limited’s diverse portfolio including lagers, stouts, ciders, and malts. Festival-goers had access to special beer cocktails, known as shandies, alongside exclusive offers on the full KBL range.

Multiple photo-op installations dotted the venue, while interactive brand activities gave consumers chances to win limited-edition Oktobafest merchandise.

Star-Studded Entertainment Lineup

The entertainment kicked off with MC Gudahman and his dance crew delivering high-energy choreography that set the tone for the evening. Rising star Iyanii followed with a set of his chart-topping hits, escalating the crowd’s energy before DJ Daqchild took over with a carefully curated mix of local favorites that resonated with the Eldoret audience.

The night reached its peak when Mejja took the stage for what attendees described as the evening’s standout performance, bringing the house down with his popular tracks.

Nationwide Expansion Plans

Brigid Wambui, Senior Brand Manager for Tusker, emphasized the brand’s commitment to reaching consumers across Kenya during October, designated as beer month.

“We are delighted to share the Oktobafest experience with our consumers across the country. We’ve had an amazing reception in Eldoret, allowing us to truly explore how our Eldoret consumers do beer and culture,” Wambu said. “We are looking forward to creating even richer experiences in other parts of the country throughout October.”

The festival will make three additional regional stops:

– Coast Edition: October 18th at New Big Tree, Bamburi

– Lake Edition: October 25th at Atella Beach Resort, Kisumu

– Mountain Edition: November 1st at The Stinger Lounge-Kinyuki, Nanyuki

Entry to each event costs KES 1,000, redeemable for either five bottles of Tusker Lager, Pilsner, or Balozi, or four bottles of Whitecap, Manyatta, Tusker Cider, Tusker Malt, Tusker Lite, or Guinness.

Beyond the Main Events

Tusker Oktobafest will be supported by over 200 on-trade activations nationwide throughout October. Beer enthusiasts can also access flash sales and discounts on KBL products through ke.thebar.com and select e-commerce partners.

The initiative represents Kenya Breweries Limited’s strategy to engage consumers through experiential marketing while celebrating regional beer culture across different parts of the country.
