The Chrome City XO Tour made a memorable stop in Chuka over the weekend, drawing more than 2,800 fans to a celebration of music, culture and the journeys that shape who we are. Heavy rain failed to keep the crowd away, and the strong turnout showed that nothing could dampen an experience rooted in Chrome Brandy’s mantra, “Levels Change, Roots Don’t.”

At the heart of the Chuka edition was a homecoming for Kenyan rapper Boutross, who grew up in the town. His return brought the campaign’s message to life, celebrating how far one can go without losing touch with where it all began. The event served as a reminder that while success opens new doors and takes people to new places, the people, experiences and communities that shape us remain an important part of our story.

Fans enjoyed a lively lineup of performances from Chrome Brandy Brand Ambassador Khaligraph Jones, alongside Boutross, Maandy, Collo Blue and DJ Deewiz. Each act brought a distinct sound and stage presence, keeping the atmosphere high despite the challenging weather.

Speaking on the tour, Scaver Saitaga, Brand Manager-Kenya Breweries Limited, said: “At Chrome Brandy, we believe that as people grow, evolve and achieve more, they should never lose touch with where they come from. Through our ‘Levels Change, Roots Don’t’ platform, we celebrate the ambition to go further while staying grounded in our roots. We want Chrome Brandy to connect with people through authentic experiences that reflect their identities, aspirations and communities.”

He added: “The Chrome City XO Tour brings this ambition to life through music, celebrating homegrown talent and creating experiences that resonate with the places and people that shape us. Chuka was a powerful expression of this, with Boutross returning to the town where he grew up and fans showing up despite the rain. It’s this connection between progress, identity and our roots that we want Chrome Brandy to continue championing.”

The Chuka stop reinforces the tour’s commitment to bringing music and memorable experiences closer to fans, while celebrating the stories, communities and roots that remain part of every journey.
