COVID-19 death toll in Kenya reaches 516 after 10 die

Three community level COVID-19 deaths are among 10 fatalities reported in Kenya today by the Ministry of Health, raising the national death toll to 516, which translates to 1.6 percent fatality rate.

The latest fatalities were aged below 30, according to the Ministry.

The Ministry’s Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangagi spoke when she announced the recovery of 257 more patients from the disease, raising the total number to 17,869.

Kenya now has 31,441 COVID-19 cases after 426 cases were reported in 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 9 were foreigners.
