Guinness Smooth officially launched its new “Make It Yours” campaign on Thursday, 24th April, at Konqa254 in Nairobi. The campaign aims to inspire the next generation of Guinness consumers to express their creativity, individuality, and community spirit.
The event was built on the refreshed brand identity introduced earlier this year, highlighting a bolder visual style. The launch featured fashion showcases from Kenyan designers Martin Emojong and Lucarindii, who created original pieces inspired by Guinness Smooth’s signature colors and elements.
Emojong, known for blending traditional Kenyan textiles with modern designs, and Lucarindii, recognized for bold and sustainable streetwear, presented innovative collections that captured the campaign’s theme of reimagining culture.
Henrietta Reed, Marketing Manager at Guinness, praised Nairobi’s dynamic creative scene, stating, “Nairobi’s vibrant creative scene and its spirit of innovation make it the ideal launchpad for the Guinness Smooth ‘Make It Yours’ campaign. We are thrilled to collaborate with local talent like Luca and Emojong, whose unique perspectives perfectly embody the campaign’s message.”
Attendees experienced interactive pop-up stations offering fashion styling, makeup artistry, and nail art, encouraging personal expression and co-creation with local creatives.
The event also featured entertainment by media personality Azeezah Hashim as MC and music producer Cedo, who delivered a blend of classic and contemporary music performances.
While Guinness Smooth has introduced updated packaging and a refreshed visual identity, it maintains its original smooth taste, characterized by a balance of roasted barley and sweet malt. The product is widely available in outlets such as Konqa254, Enkarre Lounge, Tamasha Eldoret, and Geco Café, and can also be purchased online via The Bar KE platform.
The “Make It Yours” campaign is a Pan-African initiative encouraging young people to reimagine their world through creativity and collaboration.
