Kenya has registered new 492 cases of COVID-19, increasing the caseload to 26,928.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe says the new cases were recorded from 4,063 samples tested across the country.
The CS said 14 of those newly infected are foreigners, with the youngest being an 11 months old baby.
Nairobi has recorded the highest number of cases with 350 followed by Garissa which has 52 new cases.
Meanwhile, the country has continued recording a high number of recoveries of disease, with 534 new discharge in 24 hours, just a day after more than a thousand patients were declared free of the disease.
Kagwe said of those new recoveries, only 56 are from hospitals with the rest having been undergoing treatment under the home-based programme.
The latest tally, therefore, raises the number of recoveries to 13, 495.
The disease has also claimed 3 lives, raising the death toll to 423.
