Kenya’s COVID-19 Death Toll Raises to 718 After 7 More Die in 24-hours

Kenya’s positivity rate currently stands at 3.9 percent after the health ministry announced one hundred and eighty-four coronavirus infections picked out of 4,700 samples tested within a 24-hour period.

This now raises the country’s cumulative cases to 38,713. 

In a statement, Health Ministry Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe in a statement sent to newsrooms, also noted that the country’s death toll rose to 718 after 7 more patients succumbed to the virus over the same period.

The country’s recovery toll now stands at 25,023 after 115 patients were cleared including 48 who were discharged from various hospitals countrywide.   

The new cases include fourteen foreigners and are distributed among 110 males and 74 females
