Zurvita Celebrates Serving 1.2 Million Meals To The Hungry In East Africa

To reach the 1.2 meals served mark, Zurvita has donated three meals for every bag (30-day supply) sold of award-winning natural health drink powder Zeal for Life and three meals for every box sold of Zundora, a breakthrough antioxidant collagen gel.

Faith-led company, Zurvita announced that it had reached its goal of providing 1 million meals to the hungry and has since donated an additional 200,000 meals.

The company has a two-part mission of empowering people to take control of their health and happiness through award-winning natural wellness products and to spread hope and compassion by feeding hungry families worldwide.

Additionally, Zurvita is fulfilling its promise to sponsor a child from SERV International’s House of Hope orphanage in Kenya, East Africa, for every 200,000 meals served. Last August, they sponsored Tebo, and today, they announced the sponsorship of 4-year-old Arukudi.

Every full sponsorship of a child allows SERV to cover all of the child’s expenses at the House of Hope. In this Christian environment, children receive nutritious food, clean water, clothing, shelter, education, vocational training, medical care, and spiritual development.

SERV provides a transitional program for teens aging out at the age of 18 who are either in high school, trade school, college, or beginning their careers.

To reach the 1.2 meals served mark, Zurvita has donated three meals for every bag (30-day supply) sold of award-winning natural health drink powder Zeal for Life and three meals for every box sold of Zundora, a breakthrough antioxidant collagen gel.

In addition, Zurvita donates one meal for every bag sold of Zurge, a proprietary coffee blend that sharpens memory and increases mental clarity.

“We work hard at Zurvita to create all-natural nutrition products that make healthy, functional nutrients easy for individuals and families to access. But we are so much more than that, ” says  CEO Jay Shafer. “With the sales of our award-winning products, we can help people worldwide. Through our meals and now, sponsorship of Tebow and Arukudi, we are proud to say we are saving lives.”

Suzy Shafer, VP of Field Engagement, met Arukudi when she traveled to Nairobi, Africa, with SERV in early 2023 to distribute food provided by the Zurvita funding. In that region of the world, hundreds of thousands live in the slums with danger everywhere, raw sewage, and extreme poverty.

In the bush villages farther out, they met Arukudi, who was malnourished and living with distant relatives and a younger sister. No one in the family had been to school, and their only form of survival was to make charcoal and brooms from the trees surrounding them. If they didn’t sell them, they would go hungry.

Sadly, Arukudi’s relatives could no longer feed and care for her.  Suzy and the team were privileged to be involved with safely bringing ten kids, including Arukudi, to the House of Hope, helping them adjust to new life at the orphanage. Zurvita is sponsoring Arukudi’s bright future.

The chain of hope started with the food. Zurvita has provided SERV with the funding to establish consistent food distribution in the area, which has allowed SERV to do so much more.

Zurvita brings families effective all-natural health and wellness products from the most potent and nourishing ingredients and superfoods. Buying Zundora, Zurge, and Zeal means providing for a child and families in need.
