Excitement is in the air as Kasbah Tamadot, the luxurious Moroccan retreat owned by Sir Richard Branson, officially reopens today, showcasing its stunning restoration following last year’s devastating earthquake.

Set in the enchanting High Atlas Mountains, this acclaimed destination is once again ready to welcome guests to experience its unique blend of elegance and authentic Berber culture.

The hotel has undergone significant renovations, rejuvenating both the main building and its offerings. Guests can now enjoy exquisite dining at the newly introduced restaurant, Asayss, while six impeccably designed Riads join the lineup, bringing the total guest capacity to 42 rooms. Every accommodation provides breathtaking views that capture the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

Reflecting on the journey of recovery, Branson expressed, “The aftermath of the earthquake was a difficult moment for the region, but the unyielding spirit and unity of the local Berber communities were remarkable. We promised to return Kasbah Tamadot stronger and better than ever, and we are proud to honor that promise with our new Riads. My mother would be incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.”

In response to the disaster, the Kasbah Tamadot team collaborated with local Berber communities and the Eve Branson Foundation to launch an Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund, raising an astounding £1 million to aid those in need. Throughout the past year, the dedicated staff remained employed, and the Berber Tents continued to operate, providing vital tourism support to the region.

General Manager David Redouane Assabb welcomed the reopening with enthusiasm, stating, “Kasbah Tamadot is deeply woven into the identity of the High Atlas Mountains and its Berber communities. We are beyond thrilled to unveil the fully restored Kasbah and extend a warm welcome to our past, present, and future guests. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who stood by us and supported our local communities over the last year.”

The newly unveiled Riads are truly a highlight of the property, designed to accommodate up to 10 guests across three luxurious bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and lounge area.

These Riads also showcase a stunning Rooftop Tented Suite featuring a luxurious hot tub, perfect for soaking in the panoramic views. Guests will discover interiors adorned with locally crafted textiles and furnishings, providing an authentic Moroccan ambiance. Families and groups can enjoy the option of booking an entire Riad, ensuring privacy and the luxury of a secluded retreat.

In addition to the Riads, Kasbah Tamadot continues to offer its iconic luxury Berber Tents, each featuring a private terrace ideal for outdoor dining and relaxation, with select tents equipped with their own hot tubs. The hotel’s dazzling infinity pool, framed by sweeping mountain vistas, remains a sought-after spot for guests.

Wellness enthusiasts can pamper themselves with local spa treatments, experience an authentic Hammam, or participate in Moroccan cooking classes. Adventurous spirits can embark on guided hikes and cycling excursions through the breathtaking Atlas landscape.

With rates starting at MAD 45,100 for a three-bedroom Riad on a B&B basis and MAD 7,200 for a two-person stay in the hotel, guests can now experience the magic of Kasbah Tamadot once again. The wait is over—book now to indulge in an unforgettable escape to one of Morocco’s most cherished destinations!
