Wiper leader and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has announced his return to Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition.

Kalonzo announced his return on Thursday after he met Wiper party officials at his command center in Karen.

“I have come to the realization that the future and the well-being of our nation is indeed squarely on our shoulders,” he said.

“In my consultations, I have listened to everyone including the dumb and ignorant for they too have their story,”  he added.

Kalonzo said after wide consultations, he has decided to accept the prime cabinet secretary’s offer extended to him by the ODM leader.

“After wide consultation with the party leadership, the clergy and the professionals have decided to accept with humility and appreciation my nomination as the chief minister in the Azimio one Kenya coalition.”

Kalonzo further congratulated Martha Karua for the nomination as the deputy president nominee for Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition and assured his full and equivocal support for their ticket.

“Beginning today  I commit myself to the Azimio Oka campaign activities because when this race to win we have no option absolutely nothing deeply we understand the Kenyan households are reeling under the burden of a high cost of living hence in our manifesto,” said Kalonzo

Last week, Wiper delegates urged Kalonzo to rejoin Azimio and renegotiate on behalf of the community what is at stake for them as a region. During the same occasion, the delegates ruled out the option of Kalonzo working with the Kenya Kwanza coalition under the Deputy President.
