Friday’s UEFA Champions League draw has confirmed this edition’s quarterfinal ties and set out the semifinals as well as the final pathways for the eight remaining teams.
European Champions and the defending champions Chelsea will face 13-time winners Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. The two teams will be facing each other for the second consecutive time after the two teams faced each other on the semi finals last season.
Manchester City will face Atletico Madrid, Liverpool will face Portuguese side Benfica while German champions Bayern Munich will play Villarreal.
The semifinals were also drawn and City or Atletico Madrid will face Chelsea or Real in what promises to be a stunning four-game run to Stade de France in Saint-Denis. Villarreal or Bayern will come up against Benfica or Liverpool for what could be a sensational German-English semi final.
The Quarter finals first legs will be played on April 5 and April 6 and the second legs on April 12 and April 13. The semi finals first legs will be on April 26 and April 27 and the second legs on May 3 and May 4.
The D-day for the Uefa Champions League finals will be on Saturday, May 28 at Stade de France, Saint-Denis
