MP aspirant Wesley Kogo’s Unfortunate Demise

by Kwabe Ben

Nandi Hills political aspirant Wesley Kogo has lost his life in a road accident at Nairobi’s Kangemi area.

The Undergraduate aspirant, aged 30, was to vie for the parliamentary seat of Nandi Hills through a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

The residents and netizens are in pain for the loss of a young, ambitious and visionary leader whose leadership they won’t be able to witness now.

He came to people’s attention, when some elders felt he would have been an ideal candidate for the seat, last year when residents of Nandi Hills constituency converged to fundraise for his bid to the representation.

Kogo had managed to get Sh1.6 million, all in a bid to unseat Keter of the Jubilee Party who has been Member of Parliament for the area last two terms.

A move so rare in the political world that it earned him an alias ‘community’s son’.

The MP aspirant held a Bachelor in Applied Statistics and Computing form the University of Eldoret where he graduated in 2015.
