The Kenya certificate of primary examinations kicking off on 7th march has the long awaiting pupils ready to tackle the years awaited test.

With an increase of 78,034 students from the previous 2021 years students, 2022 pupils are yet to attain the upgrade to the next level.

This years KCPE centers will be served from 491 distribution centers while KCSE centers will be served from 483 distribution centers.

Commencing the national examinations this Monday morning are more than 1.2 million pupils sitting for their final tests.

The ministry of education states having put in place all measures to ensure smooth flow of the three days exams. This comes amid past exam theft occurrences, assuring that this time will have no chance at luring the pupils or parents .

Despites assurance from Interior CS Fred Matiangi on safety of teachers and students during the exercise, up to 11 schools will have their pupils do their exams at make shift locations to enhance their safety.

Though 219 pupils from Baringo being at violence-stricken areas are unpeaceful and will have to sit for their exams in two secondary schools under tight security

He also added that no exam irregularities whatsoever are to be witnessed as the security has been maintained to detail, in case of any try the suspects will for sure be nabbed.

40 Pupils from Sinoni primary school at Baringo south where the bandit attacks claimed 8 lives will sit for their exams at Mochongoi High school.

Others drawn from Garatuku, chepenin among others have been relocated to safer places for their exams.

The ongoing tests that will be done on Thursday is to be conducted in 28,000 centers of examinations.
